Hamlyn, London, 1981. Ninth Impression. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Photographic. useful facts and figures, acknowledgements, introduction by author, glossary and index. Pale brown coloured endpapers. The text is illustrated with black-and-white illustrations and coloured photography. Photographic boards, showing a pressure cooker and a dish of pot-roast of pork with herbs, with red and white coloured titles to the front panel and red coloured titles to the spine. Some rubbing to the book corners. The major fault with the book is internally. Handling marks and browning have occurred to the internal pages and there are stains ( where previous owner, while using the recipe, has spilt ingredients on the page ) between pages 68 and 69. The book has also split, it clean page 56 and 57 and underlying webbing is visible. Photographic dust wrapper ( wraparound ), same illustration as for front board, with red and white coloured titles to the front panel and red coloured titles to the spine. Some rubbing and a little chipping to the top dust wrapper corners and there has been creasing to the top and bottom dust wrapper edges. Some grubby marks to the dust wrapper and there has been clipping of the dust wrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner. Remains of a sticker can be seen to the lower right-hand corner of the front fold over. A small book on the art of using a pressure cooker. Not only can the pressure cooker be used for cooking of meals but also for the used in the freezing and par cooking of homegrown vegetables. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 128 pages.
