Boston: Little Brown and Co, 1892. First edition. Hard Cover. good. octavo. Purple cloth with gilt lettering to spines. Volume one has tippped-in shipped with presentation to "Charles L. Sargent from his friend Francis Parkman 21 May, 1892". Front hinges on both volumes starting. but intact. Wear to spine and bottom edges of books. This book, forming Part VI of the series called France and England in North America fills the gap between Part Vl, "Count Frontenac": and Part VII., "Montcalm and Wolfe;" so that the series now forms a continuous history of the efforts of France to occupy and control this continent.'.
