The first edition of this work, an uncommon volume. A vivid and beautiful memoir of life among gypsies by Jan Yoors, Belgian-American artist, photographer and painter who decided to live with a Rom kumpania he encountered on the outskirts of Antwerp at the age of twelve. Complete with unclipped dust wrapper. Ex library copy with dust wrapper in brodart taped to front board. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally with light bumping to head and tail of spine and extremities, tape marks to rear board, tape to front board from front fly leaf. Dust wrapper taped to front board by a previous owner, very smart. Library shelf number to spine of dust wrapper. Minor loss to front free endpaper. Library shelf inscription to front free endpaper, usual library stamps to leaves. Internally, firmly bound. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor spotting to fore edge, not affecting pages that remain bright and clean. Good
