About This Item
New York: G. Schirmer, 1905 Second Authorized Edition. First published 1902. A guide to "fine and correct piano-playing" by this technique. With forty-seven illustrative cuts [photographic reproductions] of Leschetizky's hand. Translated from the German by Dr. Th. Baker. The text block is complete, solid, and generally clean except for occasional pencil lines. However, the book was damp-exposed at the lower rear portion--the lower section of the rear cover is faded, and large irregular dampstains are at the lower rear endpapers. Yellowish stain extends through final 16 pages of musical notations. Covers edgeworn and frayed. Library marks: bookplate inside front cover; library inkstamp on Dedication page and inside rear cover; catalogue numbering at lower front board near spine; small sticker mark upper front cover near spine. A serviceable copy.
