Salt Lake City, UT, 1914. First Edition. 167pp. Octavo [22 cm] Black cloth with the title gilt stamped on the front board. Decorative blind stamping to boards. Near fine. Nice copy of this work. Orson Ferguson Whitney (1855-1931)served as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, from 1906 until his death in 1931. Whitney was also a politician, journalist, and taught at Brigham Young College during the 1890s. He was also the author of several publications and wrote the lyrics to a few of the LDS Church's hymns. Flake/Draper 9768.
