Elizabeth Secrest turned with a smile to the two girls who had come up behind her, their footfalls silent in the sand. The world is mine, she answered, with a comprehensive sweep of her arm and hand toward the foaming surf which was almost at their feet. Doesnt it fill you, some way? Rewarded for good work in school, the seven girls of the S. P. Club are given a cottage on a little lake, where they are to spend the summer. There, they do more good work, and this time are able to assist a poor orphan girl, who lives nearby. Classmates in a girls' school on the shores of Lake Michigan, Shirley Harcourt and Sidney Thorne bear a remarkable resemblance to each other. At first resentful, they soon become good friends and wonder if they are related. EB; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
