A near fine copy, touch of rubbing to extremities in a very good example of the scarce and fragile dust wrapper, mild chipping to corners, some loss to spine ends, not affecting any lettering, small 'v' chip to upper front panel, small chip to spine panel at fold. (10769). Octavo, original purple cloth, front and spine stamped in dark yellow. This is the secondary binding of the first edition. Text differs from the Metheun edition. This is the author's first book which prints his first published story and its' sequel. Anatomy of Wonder 2-22, Clareson: Science Fiction in America, 1870s-1930s #225.
