Exciting account of Confederate naval genius Ralph Semmes and his efficient warship, the "Alabama," responsible for the sinking or ransoming of over 60 vessels. Uncommon in this form. From the collection of noted Civil War and Lincoln scholar ARNOLD F. GATES (1914-93).
