Original three-quarter red morocco and marbled boards. Bookplate of former owner on rear pastedown. Spine and top edge gilt. Minor shelf wear and light tanning. Very Good. Untrimmed. One of a limited "memorial edition" of 1250 numbered copies. A biography of Washington from the turn of the 20th century, accompanied by color portraits of George and Martha Washington, and eighteen plates of other influential founders and of Washington's family. Also with engraved tailpieces to mark the end of chapters.
