Maroon cloth covered boards with gilt particulars to spine. Part Two of Volume 64 of The Gentleman's Magazine.
On pages 891-892, under Curious Chirurgical Operations, is the description of previously unknown surgical operation long performed in the East Indies with success, namely affixing a new nose on a man's face. This untitled article is believed to be the first report published in Europe of the Indian forehead-flap method of rhinoplasty. Corresponding plate located by p. 883.
As this covers the second half of the year 1794 and thus is billed as "Part the Second", it is paginated 586-1212. Ink slightly faded on some pages. Stab-in binding. No previous owners' names or other markings.
