London: Printed for C. Nourse; J. F. And C. Rivington; S. Crowder; G. G. J. And J. Robinson; W. Stewart; T. Lowndes; and J. Pote, at Eton, 1785. Eleventh edition, 1885. Poor condition, reading or rebinding copy. Complete with frontis and five plates, 4 of which ar folding. Brown leather, xxviii, [1]-370p, [10]p index plus plates. Covers only attached (and not well) by clear tape, frontis and title page adhered at the far inner margin from an apparent old glue repair (no loss of printed areas), folding plate at page 132 has two large closed tears with no paper loss (repairable), binding basically sound but with part of index detached, name of John Gibson 1793 on front free endpaper and at bottom of final page, later but still old bookplate of Marick D. Gibson inside front cover, a few slips of handwritten notes containing parts of formulas laid in loosely at the front. . Hard Cover. Poor. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
