Page 159-160 has some dame inflicted by an object that caused some wrinkling and minor perforations not affecting the text. Dust jacket has unclipped price of $27.50 with light crease on flap and 1 inch tear at top of spine. Otherwise very clean little read tight book. The book is illustrated throughout with many famous canvases, sketches, facsimile letters and pages from Paul Gauguin's illustrated journals. It offers a fresh and revealing account of his life. Watercolors and pencil sketches illuminate the early stages of these major works, and illustrated journal pages and rare vintage photographs reveal the people and places he knew. Biographical chronology and listing of friends and acquaintances.
