The first edition of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding, with pictorial gilt to the front board. A humorous guide to British gardening, with extracts which were originally published in Punch magazine, and illustrations by Stephen Dowling. This playful book was written by Walter Carruthers Sellar (1898-1951) and Robert Julian Yeatman (1897-1968), both humourists who wrote for Punch, and are best known for their 1930 book '1066 and All That', a parody of historical works. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, in excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with the odd spot. Very Good Indeed
