About This Item

Kobenhavn: Gyldendalske Boghandel, 1925. Bound in half brown leather and paper (mottled brown) covered boards, gilt lettering on spine, endpapers of the same mottled brown paper. Generally very nice condition: portion of boards in paper show some rubbing (more so on rear), different owner names on first blank page, top of half-title page and top of title page (all neat), and a few faint water marks on first page (perhaps the removal of ink inscription?); tightly bound, and fold-out map bound in at rear in excellent condition. Text in Danish. Ethnographic, archaeological and biological report of Rasmussen's expedition across the Canadian Arctic in which he planned to visit every Eskimo tribe from Greenland to the Bering Sea. 415 pages with many B&W illustrations from photos throughout and index. Heavy and may incurr additional postage. Hard Cover. Near Fine/No Jacket.
