Second printing (so stated) in clean unclipped original dust jacket. Clean beige buckram cloth boards with brown lettering, green leaf on cover and spine. No bumping or wear. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages and edges are clean with map-illustrated endpapers (brief previous owner inscription at top edge of front free endpaper). Lengthy New York Times book review of this title from 1942 is laid in. 281 pages. Clean bright dust jacket is unchipped, not price clipped (2.50 on front inside flap), a few short closed edge tears; nice photo portrait of author on rear panel; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. The story of the great 3-year expedition of Lewis & Clark westward to the Pacific Ocean and back again..
