New York: Longmans, Green & Co, 1938. 1st ed. Hardcover. Fine. Armer, Laura Adams. Stated First Edition, 4to picture book, full orange cloth with dark green titling, illustrated by the author with full color, full page painting and spot illustrations on every spread in alternating teal, brioen and orange ink. Color illustrations are reminiscent of Diego Rivera's mural style. Caldecott Honor Book for 1939. Publisher's color illustrated order form for additional copies laid in. A bit of darkening to front board and some tanning to interior gutters else fine, without jacket or previous owner's marks.
