Boston: Little, Brown, and Company, 1905. First printing. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo. [12], 3-330, [2], [1] (page of publisher's advertisements), [3] pp. Light blue cloth with gold lettering and decorations on the front board and spine, top edge gilt. Illustrated with a frontispiece and fourteen additional black and white photograph plates. Whiting's history of Florence, including its art and landmarks. Whiting recounts Walter Savage Landor's villa in the city and what Florence was like while he lived there. Bookseller's ticket on the rear pastedown, tiny nick to the free front endpaper and a few spots where unopened pages were forced open; binding is mildly strained between pages 144-145 and 160-161.
