About This Item
London : Oxford University Press, 1993-2002. Cloth. Fine. 11.5" by 8.5". None. A smart copy of this ongoing biological study of the plant life of the North American continent. Containing volumes 2 (Pteridophytes and Gymnosperms, 1993), 3 (Magnoliophyta: Magnoliidae and Hamamelidae, 1997), 5 (Magnoliophyta: Caryophyllidae Part Two, 2005), 7 (Magnoliophyta: Salicaceaen to Brassicaceae, 2010), 23 (Magnoliophyta: Commedlinidae (in Part); Cyperaceae, 2002) and 26 (Magnoliophyta: Liliidae: Liliales and Orchidales, 2002). The Flora of North America North of Mexico (usually referred to as FNA) is a multivolume work describing the native plants of North America. It is the first work to treat all of the known flora north of Mexico. It is a collaboration of over 800 authors, who collaborate over the web. Illustrated throughout with hundred of diagrams and illustrations in the text, and coloured frontispieces to the later four volumes. Six volumes of twenty-seven only, with another three volumes expected to be published over the next few years. In green cloth bindings. Externally smart, with just the odd mark and light shelfwear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Fine
