London: Jonathan Cape Ltd., 1924. First edition. Hardcover. Very good/very good. 94 p. 20 cm. Brown cloth spine with orange paper boards. In mylar-covered pictorial dustjacket. Jacket has light soiling and chipping to edges. Ink and pencil notations on front free endpaper as well as a small ink stamp.
Often considered to have been one of the best poets of the interwar period, Roy Campbell is not so well known today. He persisted in defending unfashionable causes, both religious and political, and managed to make enemies of many of the influential people of his time.
