Description:
Jonathan Cape, 1925. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Poor/No Jacket. 94 pages (complete). 'The Flaming Terrapin' was Campbell's first long poem and it was to earn him instant recognition and acclaim. This copy of the first edition of the first poem has been subjected to forgetful storage. The covers - board with cloth spine - are grubby. They have wear, scuffing, many marks. The spine is worn to the head and foot. Beyond all this the covers and the spine are firm, resolute and considerate. Inside, there is foxing throughout. The pages are generous, thick, firm, clear, eloquent and confident. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
