Margaret Sidney was the pseudonym of American author Harriett Mulford Stone Lothrop (June 22, 1844-August 2, 1924). In addition to writing popular children's stories, she ran her husband Daniel Lothrop's publishing company after his death.' Light green cloth with gilt title, pictoral decoration on front cover and spine, back cover plain. Slight spine slant. Front board clean and bright; text block tight and complete, no marks whatsoever in the text. The Boards are slightly soiled, some smudges on rear endpapers
