New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1938., 1938.. Very good. FIRST EDITION INSCRIBED & SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR - Octavo, 8-1/2 inches high by 6 inches wide. Blue cloth titled and decorated in gilt on the spine and in blind on the front cover, in its original printed tan dust wrapper. The edges of the dust jacket are chipped with small pieces out from the corners and tail of the jacket's spine. [xi], 50 & [2] pages. Near fine in a very good dust wrapper.
First edition of the author's first book.
Inscribed & signed by Ben Belitt on the half title: "For Peggy Brush, with best wishes, Ben Belitt / Bennington, VT March 2, 1939".
