I thought it was extremely well written, with true historical material, such as letters, comments etc.It would make a great movie, as the descriptions written in the book really grab the reader's attention to a point of not wanting the chapter to end..The continued " follow ups" regarding certain people was also helpful & done in a way that was not disruptive to the story & placed in certain chapters to illicit continued interest into the narrative..one of the best books I've read in years !
