Part of the table of contents is missing (it appears the book was bound without them, not that they were removed) but title and half-title are present and in their correct positions. Large portions of the paper spine missing, but title is complete. Scattered light internal foxing. New Howes P- 446. First volume of "The first popular history of the war from the Confederate point of view.
