Faber And Faber, 1948. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1948. First Edition. 235 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt. Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing. Minor pencil marking to front paste-down. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Cracking to hinges, no damage to end papers. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Sunning to boards and spine. Gilt lettering is darkened. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Moderate crushing to spine ends, with splitting, fraying and loss to the head, tail.
