A representative exhibition for the Grolier Club, selected and catalogued by David Magee 200 copies printed by the Grabhorn Press 1961 for Carroll T. Harris and presented to members of the Grolier Club on the occasion of their visit to San Francisco. Features short descriptions and selections from 25 San Francisco area printers and five binders in honor of the Grolier Club visit. Short historical/biographical sketches of various Bay Area private presses and private press people, with their printing devices printed in red. Includes The Allen Press, The Nova Press, The Archetype Press, Mallette Dean, The Peregrine Press, Herbert and Peter Fahey, Helen Gentry, The Grabhorn Press, The Colt and Jumbo Presses, Johnck and Seeger, The Windsor Press, and many others. David Magee has selected a few representative titles for each press discussed. 36p., mould-made paperstock made in England, rubricated presswork throughout, cased into 12x8 inch linen-backed boards with printed paper spine label. Book is near fine condition, some tanning to end sheets. Please feel free to inquire for item specifics or additional photos. Books will be carefully packaged in cardboard boxes only.
