New York.: Broadway Publishing Co., 1912. hardcover. good. Inscribed. Hardcover super 8vo, decorated green boards with gilt titles, no D/J (as issued?), decorated endpapers, tope edge gilt, Inscribed by author on frontispiece, with tissue guards. some weakening to hinges, bumping to corners and a small 1cm hole to cloth by the title, some foxing but interiors remain mostly clean, and all photographic plates are not affected. Overall condition good. Leavitt entered show business as a blackface minstrel show singer, before making the leap to theatre manager. In his biography he claims to have introduced lithographic theatre posters to American show business, and he is also credited with starting the first touring Burlesque company.
