New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1932. reissue. Hardcover. Fine/very good. Hardcover in orange cloth lettered and decorated in blue. Patterned endpapers with publisher's device. xi+ 393 pp. Early reprint edition. A tight, bright example, bit of offsetting to the endpapers and some scuffing to the bue-stained top edge of the text block. In the original dust wrapper printed and illustrayed in red and green on white background. Jacket is aged and has light even soiling, moderate wear at the extremities , head edge of spine a bit ragged. Compilation of best know stories featuring animals including contributors like Mark Twain, Jack London, Albert Payson Terhune, and Ernest Thompson Seton himself.
