Bound in 3/4 brown highly polished leather and pebble grained light brown cloth which is lightly sunbleached. Covers rubbed and scuffed mostly at edges. Recased with renewed endpapers and original leather spine with red morocco spine label with gilt title and gilt decorations relaid. A very good copy of this monumental and heavily illustrated survey of English and Welsh churches.

The German theologian Caspar Schwenckfeld von Ossig (1489-1561) was one of the earliest promoters of the Protestant Reformation in Silesia.
