Issued as a 'Publication of the Bureau of Hygiene'. xx+432; private lib. label+Foyles sticker to front pastedown, faint browning to centre of recto front e.p. with central unbrowned patch off-set from lib.label, two minute ink initials to top outer corner recto rear endpaper, very faint browning to verso, otherwise internally clean, tight and unmarked, some odd black flecking to outer end of top edge of textblock, covers clean and virtually unworn but spine lettering dull and faint shallow vertical groove down most of spine of little significance. A very acceptable copy of this groundbreaking study, now largely forgotten due to the retrospective shadown cast by Kinsey's later famous/notorious work.
