A tight, clean, sound copy in sepia photo illustrated black wraps with very minor overall shelf wear with some very light yellowing on the outside paper edges. A couple take a trip to London after their only daughter goes off to boarding school. While they are there, the husband has a series of encounters with the ghost of a young girl who dies in a fall at the hotel 60 years earler. The shadowy rooms and characters of her life become more and more real and attractive to him than his own reality.
