Brown leather spine (rebacked) + boards; somewhat worn and marked; corners worn; front and rear joints very slightly exposed, but binding otherwise tight. Gilt titling + decoration on spine still quite bright. pp quite supple, and unmarked. Bookplate on front pastedown; owner's name on front endpaper. Fold-out plates at front and rear -- plate at front has lightly worn edges, but the illustration is unaffected (see photos).; xxiii + 324 pages .
