Heavy foxing to endpapers. Notable cracking to gutters, however binding remains firm. Notable thumb-marking present. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and notable marking and mottling to boards. Notable tanning to board edges and spine, which has mild crushing and tearing to ends. Book has forward lean.

Professionally rebound in quarter black cloth and handmade marble paper (globule design in green, black, pale mauve and white on a pale maroon background)cloth-paper interface covered with an onlaid narrow green ribbon, black endpapers,black leather label, b/w frontis, " Bona Dea - The Earth ", 435 b/w engravings (in the 3 volumes of the work), 1719 pp. (in this volume alone). Contains entries of incidents which took place in each of the 365 days of the year in past and present times. Many entries are about saints but others are about customs etc., for example, the entry for February, 22nd., " Stoning Jews in Lent - A Custom " or, the entry for August, 25th. " Printers " - journey-men at printers businesses made paper windows and the master printer made a feast called a "way-goose". He invited the founders, smith, ink-makers etc. who gave money to the workers to spend in the tavern. Condition of binding is "new", condition of text is g to vg.

One-half leather binding, corners rubbed to the board, heaD of spine chipped, black leather label partially chipped Heel of spine has three small paper dots, for some sort of reference although the interior is unmarked except for a penciled number on the title page. Leaves are pleasingly bright, which make the 114 engraved illustrations that much more attractive and interesting. Double columned with each column counting as a page, 1644 columns (or about 820 normal paging), plus two regular pages unnumbered. Questions welcome. Images can be made upon request.
