Williams and Norgate, 1891. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1891. Library Edition. 478 pages. No dust jacket. Vol. I. Burgundy cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Front free endpaper is missing. Pages are lightly tanned with mild foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Ex-libris and pencil inscription present on front paste-down, with water drops and a few small nicks along text block edge. Mild cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have light shelf-wear with mild corner bumping and slight crushing to spine ends. Moderate tanning to spine, with a subtle forward lean. Mild mottling to front board.
