Dark blue cloth lettered in black on white paper labels pasted to spine and front, with red and recessed borders to latter. 95pp, plus publisher's list. With frontispiece self-portrait of the author, tissue-guarded. Six essays by the painter John (Jack) Butler Yeats, including: Watts and the Method of Art, Synge and the Irish, and The Modern Woman. Very Good copy: clean and bright front cover, browning to spine label, some scratches to back cloth. Pages largely clean, some quite heavy foxing and browning to prelim pages. Name to flyleaf- 1918, Tristram B. Hart. Pictures available.
