London, Macmillan, January 1940, 8vo, pp. xv, 339 & 16 plates; orig. green cloth + dustwrapper. A copy of the third, similar printing (first was November 1939). -
The book is significantly inscribed by the author to the baronet, Sir Robert Henry Edward Abdy (simply 'Bertie' for O.S.), and dated Oct. 1941. - Top edge a bit spotted and a few mild foxing spots in the first pages; binding intact and very bright. Dustwrapper: spotted, most visible at the blank verso and the back side, otherwise quite good, with almost no loss of paper, only brittle at top and foot of spine; price not clipped away. - [Extra shipping costs for destinations outside Europe]
