About This Item
Philadelphia: Bioren and Madan, 1796. First American Edition. Two volumes; contemporary (likely original) tree calf with red morocco spine title labels; gilt spine decoration; contemporary ownership signature at the top of each title page; one blank marginally torn; occasional spotting, with a larger ink stain on the last few leaves of the second volume. Generally in excellent condition, the front board of volume two’s outer joint and hinge are broken, but it is held on by the original sewing.
