Very Good+ in a Good+ DJ. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear to brown cloth boards with gilt titles and accents-corners sharp. Moderate shelf/edge wear, chipping and some soiling to unclipped DJ, spine of DJ lightly darkened - now in mylar. No previous owner markings-all pages are clean and crispwith a hint of toning to the edges. Over 30 tales of growing up in the American Midwest of the 1890's (specifically, the town of Waubansie, Illinois) Over 50 b/w illustrations; endpaper map of the town and jacket design by Mariel Wilhoite.
