About This Item
Philadelphia: University of Pennsylvania Press, 1974. Paperback. Small 8vo. Stiff pink wrappers. xi, 363pp, (3pp ads). Very good. Slight bit of edgewear, but overall a tight, clean and attractive first paperback edition (based on the second, revised hardbound edition, hence "Second Edition" statement on title page). From the collection of conductor and musicologist Paul Clinton Echols (1944-94), with his ownership name inkstamped on the half-title and title pages.
