Ward, Lock & Co. Ltd., 1955. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1955. First Edition. 256 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt decoration. Contains black and white photographic frontispiece, with other plates throughout. Diagrams throughout also. Pages are mildly tanned, but text remains clear. Plates are bright. Binding is slightly shaky, due to cracked front hinge, but all pages remain attached. Prize plate and pencil inscriptions to front pastedown. Boards have light shelf-wear, with minor corner bumping and minimal scuffing to edges. Spine and edges are moderately sunned, with moderate crushing and splitting to ends. Gilt remains bright. Light rubbing and scuffing overall. Visible tear to cloth to top edge of rear board.
