The uncommon first edition of this work.Undated as called for with the nine titles verso of the half title.In the publisher's original cloth.With a colour illustration to the front board and folded double page frontispiece of a partially burnt letter from Sir Percy. This work is written by author and playwright Baroness Orczy. In this work the Scarlet Pimpernel reluctantly agrees to take his wife's brother to France with him to rescue the young Dauphin. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with bumping and minor rubbing to the extremities and fading to the spine. Scattered spotting to the end papers. Back hinge starting but firm. Internally firmly bound with generally clean and bright pages. The odd spot to the pages, heavier to the front and rear. Spotting to the fore edge. Very Good
