The life and times of Edward VII, King of England for less than ten years, after Queen Victoria -although his public career began forty years before he came to the throne in 1901 - the "Edwardian Era" is named after him. Bound in black full cloth, blind-stamped title on front, bronze foil lettering on spine. Very clean and unmarked, no edge wear. Interior is pristine. Bright and colorful jacket is clean and weorn at the edges, with illustration of Edward VII; ragged at upper spine end, edgewear at corners; edgewear and chipping of lower spine end and lower edge. Mylar protective cover helps provide an attractive appearance. 555 pages with bibliography, source references, andi ndex. 6 x 9.5 inches. Atheneum, New York, 1979.
