Sein Werk stellt die erste Quelle für Sozialgeschichte und Volkskunde des Zürcher Oberlandes dar. Wegen seiner Homosexualität hat er immer wieder Probleme mit der Obrigkeit und verlor 1836 seine Stelle als Lehrer an der Blindenschule in Zürich. 1841 wurde er wegen seiner Homosexualität zu drei Monaten Gefängnis verurteilt und anschliessend des Kantons Kanton Appenzell Ausserrhoden verwiesen. Daraufhin zog er sich in eine Klause bei Sternenberg (Kanton Zürich) zurück.In den folgenden fünfzehn Jahren widmete sich Stutz der Schriftstellerei. Sein umfangreiches Werk gibt einen authentischen Eindruck der Lebensumstände und der Sprache der Zürcher Landbevölkerung zu seiner Zeit. Er war Herausgeber dieser Zeitschrift und engagierte sich durch die Gründung von Lesevereinen und den Aufbau einer Leihbibliothek für die Volksbildung. 010

Terms of payment

Invoices are to be paid within 15 days. For first orders we reserve delivery after payment in advance. In case of delay of payment, the second reminder is charged at an extra cost of CHF 10.00. Also, other additional costs are charged to the customer.

Sales return

In the event of a well-founded claim, the merchandise can be returned upon consultation within 14 days. If the claim turns out to be unsubstantiated, or the damage is the result from improper handling by the customer etc., all the costs are charged to the customer. Returns are only accepted with the invoice enclosed. Damages during shipment have to be notified within 48 hours. Otherwise the refund expires. Return upon dissatisfaction is excluded.

Place of venue

We are subject only to Swiss law. Place of venue is Zurich.
