Paperback wide octavo, very good condition, card cover, black & white & colour photos & drawings centre spread, tiny mark top edge, minor edgewear. 112 pp. Mary Armati records the story of the academic linguist E. G. Waterhouse , University of Sydney, who is also famous for his research on camellias - and of Eryldene, his Sydney home in the northern suburb of Gordon, now owned by the National Trust. E. Gowrie Waterhouse commissioned Hardy Wilson to design Eryldene, where Waterhouse housed his collection of decorative arts, established a famous camellia garden, and presided over the International Camellia Society.
