Volume itself has blue cloth covers with sharp gold lettering on the spine. At the top of the ffep is written in small letters 71420/D.F. (?) In addition, at the top of the spine there is a touch of wear. The same touch of wear at the top of the spine on the book is present on the dj. Dust jacket is protected in an archival quality cover. 359 pages. Allen approaches the problem of the collapse of intelligence in the United States on the same no-laughing-matter basis that has made his earlier books so instructive. Two examples from his 81 ways to make Americans Smarter. Rule #8- Recognize that you have personal prejudices. Rule # 61- Don't be afraid to change your mind. All in all, this is a quite nice and instructive book; available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box!
