Very good+ copy in 'second' issue dust jacket with Salter illustration that is Vg. +. (Previous owner's bookplate at head of front paste-down. Sunning to edges of blue cloth. Spine on jacket age toned, though still readable. Shallow chipping at crest of spine with shelfwear & tears in jacket. 3"-inch tear at head of rear panel of DJ. ) Filmed by John Ford. .
Synopsis
Walter D. Edmonds was a bestselling American author, a National Book Award winner, and recipient of the Newbery Medal. He published over 30 books in his lifetime, and was most popular for his historical novels. He died in 1998.
