About This Item

Scarborough, Ontario: Signet/NAL, 1987. 3 volume set - 7" H. 1. Halberd, Dream Warrior - 1987, 253 pp, ISBN 0451150163. "Halberd, Viking swordsman and shaman in the Dream World, has seen a vision he could not deny, his brother Valdane slain at the hands of his own cursed wife. And now Halberd and his giant warrior companion must take up the quest for bloody vengeance in a distant land. No one but a Dream Walker like Halberd could hope to avenge his brother's honor, and so he left his Viking homeland behind, sailing through unknown seas in search of the dreaded witch, only to face the perils of storms, angry gods, warriors enslaved in death - and the immortal minions of Hel!" 2. On the Shoulders of Giants - 1988, 252 pp, ISBN 0451153243. "Halberd Dream Walker, the mightiest of the Viking shamans, is the first European to set foot on the vast unspoiled North American continent of the 10th Century. The land is lush with promise but its shadows hold mysteries unbeknownst to the old world - fierce tribal warriors, savage native gods and, at the end of Halberd's Quest, the malignant sorcery of the witch Grettir who has summoned him into the Unknown World." 3. The Serpent Mound - 1989, 253 pp, ISBN 0451157664. "Ghost warriors and spirit demons were hounding the path of Halberd. In the Dream World and the real world alike, the minions of the evil witch Grettir pursued him. Now, traveling through a savage land where nearly all had been bewitched into alliance with the enemy, Halberd would need powerful magic to survive. And when he accepted the challenge of the Serpent Mound, home to an army of ghostly warriors, even the sorcery of sword and stone might not be strong enough to save him from the soul-stealing trap set by a demonic foe!" Interiors - Book 1 has previous owner's initials and date at top of first page, store stamp at bottom of first page, very light browning to the pages and inside of the covers, Book 2 has large soft crease at the top of page 2, Book 3 has very light browning to the pages - otherwise all books are clean and tight. Exteriors - light edge wear, small areas of surface paper loss at top back corner of Book 3 and at top of spine of Book 1, Book 3 has soft creases/wrinkles to front cover, all spines are flat and uncreased.. Mass Market Paperbacks. Very Good.
