Black dust jacket with multi-coloured lettering. Black boards lettered in gilt at spine. Inscribed to Dan Grisewood (publisher); ""To Dan, with whom I had a publisher's lunch quite unlike that (on p127) and who might have known Miss Fairgirdle (on p131) from Edward."" There is also a related letter loosely inserted. Dan Grisewood was a publisher, whose career included ownership of Kingfisher publishing. Edward Blishen edited and contributed to many of the Kingfisher collections for children.ISBN: 0241110939
