About This Item

New York: William Farquahar Payson, 1932. First Edition. Presentation copy; inscribed by the author, “To ‘Dave’ one of the heroes of this book. Frank Lloyd Wright. Taliesen June 8.” The “Dave” to whom this is inscribed is apparently Walter V. Davidson of Buffalo, New York, a developer of co-op markets, for whom Wright built a house. Davidson, one of the “heroes,” is mentioned twice in the book. Publisher’s cloth; a very good copy in the uncommon dust jacket (designed by the publisher) which is considerably stained and chipped and has been archivally mended internally.
