About This Item
A very rare first edition (1921) of the second in Dorita Fairlie Bruce's "Dimsie" series of girl-school novels.
The book is illustrated by the renowned Walter Paget, and is dedicated to Psyche Altham - a dancer and racing driver who would have been 8 or 9 years old at the time.
The oatmeal hard covers have beautiful colour illustrations to the front and the spine, as well as gilt text.
The ends of the page block are coloured dark green to all edges.
There is one small pinprick to the front, minor creasing to the ends of the spine, and some slight movement of the page block away from the spine to the front of the book.
